Curtain Bluff Spa

Curtain Bluff resort’s swanky 5,000 square-foot, two-story spa wins it hands down on the views alone, which are enough to lull even the most hyper exec into a state of blissful composure. This sublime oasis sits resplendent on a prime spot in the luxury resort’s impressive estate. Overlooking the ocean and wrapped in tropical splendor, it’s a sanctuary for body and soul.

Complete with a lily pond, ruby red hibiscus leaves scattered on pristine white covers, chilled music, candles and a presiding bronze Buddha, the intimate spa is tucked away at the end of a meandering, shaded walkway. There are five treatment rooms, a fully equipped beauty salon (for manis, pedis and hair services) and a spacious, open lounge/deck area. Each therapy room has its own private balcony and terrific views. Treatment options include everything you’d expect at this level, from facials, body scrubs and body therapies to deep-tissue massage, hot-stone therapy, aromatherapy and reflexology. Highly skilled therapists (from Bali, Nepal, Syria and the Caribbean) pummel, manipulate and massage using fancy Pevonia products and tempting treatments with glorious names like Water Lily Wrap, Antigua Sizzle and Tangerine Dream.

Lubricated and glowing, healed and calmed, you can then either luxuriate in your private suite or lounge outside by the infinity-edge hot-water pool, with nothing to intrude but the sounds of the ocean and the rustle of swaying palms. Here you’ll linger in quiet repose, sipping your lemongrass and ginger tea, nibbling warm banana bread and devouring the views.

  • For deep decadence, Curtain Bluff’s signature caviar and champagne massage for couples gets mega thumbs up. Following a full massage in one of their double suites, your bodies are rubbed with fragrant oils, a bottle of bubbly is poured over you, fizzing and effervescing to produce a sensational effect. Then you soak together in a spacious jacuzzi, drinking champagne and eating caviar.
