The buzz is always on at Elbow Room. Both a bar and restaurant, the Elbow Room is a very popular dancing ground with locals and visitors. The savvy individual will recognize it as a great spot for dining followed by the imperative drinks and dancing!
For the diners, you’ll get your meal presented to you in lavish style, sizzling on a hot lava rock plate. Known as “stonegrill dining”, it is a truly exceptional experience and you won’t find this presentation anywhere else on the island.
Start with an appetizer like soup, calamari verde or oriental shrimp ceviche. On the stone you can get a number of entrees, including steak, chicken and catch of the day, or veggie kebabs. Your meal also comes with a selection of sauces. But the good times at Elbow Room don’t end at dinner – they roll on throughout the night when the restaurant doors open wide for plein air fun in the upscale and tropical platinum coast.
For the young and young at heart, after dinner the party animals come out and the DJ starts spinning tunes. You’ll find yourself elbow to elbow while you’re grooving to music from pop to soca. Locals are also known to flock to the Elbow Room on a Friday night as it turns into a cool club with great drinks. The party literally pours out onto the street. The Elbow Room bar has a drink for every occasion, champagne and wine or naughty cocktails like Moon Dance, Hartley Floorbanger or Deep Blue.
Go just in time for the great summer specials. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, get a starter and main for a free dessert. Thursdays it’s surf and turf time – when you buy a 12oz ribeye steak you’ll get a skewer of shrimp free. Friday and Saturday when you get a starter and main you’ll get a free cocktail to kick off the weekend.
The Elbow Room is open Tuesday to Saturday, and is located between The Mews and Lexy’s Piano Bar. Elbow Room has been awarded the Trip Advisor certificate of excellence 2012 and 2013.
