The Wine Cave at Timothy Oulton

A partnership between the experts at Trident Wines and the quality-obsessed designer, the cellar-style Wine Cave is the first wine shop to be placed in Oulton’s eight flagship stores worldwide. Primarily known for its French labels, wines from celebrated and artisan producers in Italy, Napa Valley, New Zealand, and Argentina are also available, organized by region. Most of the 200-bottle selection of wines and champagnes, ranging from BBD $24 – $600, are not available for retail purchase elsewhere on the island.

The Wine Cave emanates low-key luxury, with Egyptian crystal chandeliers suspended from natural wooden beams over cracked, concrete floors. Towering wine shelves are fashioned from sturdy weathered wood.  Wine Cave customers are encouraged to sip wines sold by the glass while browsing the wine-centric books, leather wine carriers, and decanters, as well as the showroom’s furnishings and handcrafted relics from a bygone era.

Mr. Oulton, who spends his time between Manchester, England; Beijing, and Barbados, has created a retail experience unmatched on the island. Its allure is already being discovered by those with holiday homes, visitors and locals who appreciate fine design and quality wine under the same roof…joie!
