DJ Bambino

Back on the rock after years of vibing the Caribbean diaspora in Miami, Toronto, New York and the other Caribbean islands, DJ Bambino has played his way into our lives.

Jamaicans wake up to him in the morning ‘ that’s his voice on Zip 103 FM, Tuesdays through Fridays 6 ‘ 10 AM. We revel with him at night ‘ because he plays out at the most happening clubs and sessions. We celebrate with him when we get married ‘ he’s the most coveted MC and DJ for private functions. And we cavort with him and his musical selections at just about any other chance we can get.

And as if that weren’t enough, Bambino, whose given name is Orret Hart, has an alter-alter ego, known as TrevEr-Off-Key, who is a true entertainer and we love him just as much. Why’ Because he spoofs the hit songs and makes them better! TrevER’s specialty is taking a bite into today’s Reggae and Dancehall hits, which keeps us in stitches and keeps him at the top of the charts. TrevEr’s latest hit ‘Fake Jeans and Fitted’ (a spoof of dancehall star Vybz Kartel’s ‘Straight Jeans and Fitted’) held a twelve-week spot on the reggae charts. But even TrevER gets down to serious music business, with international collaborative hits like ‘Never Too Late For Carnival’, with Barbados’ Allison Hinds, and ‘Brum Pum’, a 2011 hit soca song with Jamaica’s Busy Signal.

Though he makes regular visits to the US to please his overseas fans, there’s no place like home and DJ Bambino is here to stay. Need Bambino to rock the tables at your wedding or corporate event’ You’re more than welcome to borrow him – just as long as he is back in time for work, bright and early Tuesday morning when we turn our radios on.
