Selena Wong

Selena Wong gave up t-shirt art in pursuit of a passion for sweet things. She started on her road to sugar artistry by making her children’s birthday cakes, and after establishing the art as a bonafied love, she went on to study under cake maestros Klara Johnson, Ron Ben-Israel and Nicholas Lodge.

With skills intact (she’s mastered the art of shaping fondant and gum paste, and nothing is out of her capabilities) and years of practice under her baker’s hat, it’s her imagination that sets her apart and takes her work beyond expectations.

Selena only needs a feel for what a client wants, whether it be a six-foot wide jungle scene, or a tiered cake standing at three-feet tall, adorned with an exquisite collection of sugar-made flowers, dragonflies and frogs. Regardless of the chosen style, be it modern, Bohemian or traditional, no matter the design, clean lines or outrageous ‘ any fantasy you could possibly dream of, the final result will be breathtaking and unforgettable.

And it will taste good too. Wong’s creations are eye-rollingly delicious. If you’re not one for traditional dark fruit cake, there is always the lighter version consisting of the same fruit, rum and nuts to suit most tastes. Her plain chocolate or vanilla cakes are just as good, not to mention her signature Lychee and strawberry cakes, which are favorites among the locals who celebrate with Selena Wong cakes at every memorable occasion.
