Anse Chastanet Resort

Anse Chastanet is very much a barefoot beach destination, although most of the 49 rooms are scattered up the steep hillside. It’s set in 600 acres bordering two soft-sand beaches that host a really excellent diving school, Scuba St Lucia.

The ambiance is relaxed’madras fabrics, naïve vibrant artwork. As at Jade, rooms have only three walls to make the most of the breathtaking views. One room is built around a magnificent gommier tree.

There are so many restaurants. Tree house, which is located in two open-air tree houses, offers a candlelit fine-dining experience created by Executive Chef Jon Bentham. Emeralds is an entirely organic vegetarian restaurant showcasing the organic produce grown on the resort farm, Emerald Estate in the Soufriere hills. Trou Au Diable serves from light meals to beach grills, and the popular Apsara menu, which is a fusion of modern East Indian and Caribbean cooking. Located on the second beach of Anse Mamin, Jungle Grill is laid-back daytime dining. And if you don’t want to walk down to the beach, lunch is served at mid hillside level in the Piton lounge.

The Kai Belte Spa offers all kinds of treatments, including Swedish massage, aromatherapy, reflexology and shiatsu, Ayurvedic treatments and Wosh Cho (patois for hot stone).

  • The couples massage course teaches the basics of Swedish massage which will add a new dimension to your relationship.
  • There are approximately 100 stairs leading from beach level to mid-hillside level, so it is not suitable for people with walking difficulties or cardiac problems but there is a complimentary shuttle service provided any time it is required
