Take one part upscale restaurant-worthy food, one part low-end diner menu prices, add in a dash of  fun, upbeat atmosphere and you have Wikked, my friends.

Situated on the water at St. Thomas’ hip, fresh Yacht Haven Grande, Wikked’s open-air venue and casual, laid-back atmosphere make it the perfect place for young local professionals to kick back after work for daily happy hour (seven days a week!). Sidle up to Wikked’s bar, sip on a Wikked Wacky Tea (house-made lemonade, mint and Firefly Tea Vodka over ice) and watch as the magnificent megayachts that call on Yacht Haven Grande slip in and out of the harbor. You’re also practically a stone’s throw from the cruise ship dock, and the massive behemoths all lit up at night just before they depart is a sight to behold indeed.

If you’re lucky enough to be at Wikked around 5 p.m., you’ll get to witness a feeding frenzy — literally. Wikked staff throw food scraps right off the dock (and may invite you to do the same) and everything from moray eel to tarpon show up to enjoy the feast. The feeding has practically become a tourist destination in its own right.

Almost as fresh as the fish who show up for their evening feeding is the fish on your plate — Wikked’s offerings from the sea are caught locally. Lunch offerings like the charred salmon BLT and the grilled salmon salad with pineapple cilantro vinaigrette top you off without being too hot and heavy (save that for later).

  • Show up early for happy hour to ensure you get a seat, and nosh on Wikked’s nine different flavors of wings, or five different flavors of tacos.
  • If you’ve got room at the end of the evening’no, scratch that — make sure you have room at the end of the evening for the fried key lime pie. Pure deliciousness.
